7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Please join us for the opening reception of this unique exhibit and silent auction. The artwork by the collaborative group, The Four Corners – Lisa Haddad, Randy L Purcell, Eva Sochorova and robert bruce scott (with a few pieces that were collaborations with Karen Sky Miller) will be in the Green Gallery this month. The exhibit features the inclusion of recycled, reuse and found materials in its mixed-media artwork Bidding begins during the East Side Stumble, 7-10pm in our Green Gallery, and continues in the shop and on Facebook until October 11.
The artists of have been exchanging materials, works in progress and ideas in a wide range of mixed media techniques since 2010. Their hands-on collaboration, with all four working on the same pieces, each adding marks, papers, fabric, paint, found materials and text, has challenged each artist to find harmony between their individual voices and the group voice; the result is vivid and imaginative. At work and at play, which may be one in the same, the Four Corners give each other a sense of buoyancy and a tremendous lift.
Visit their website at thefourcornersart.com and read more about The Four Corners in Nashville Arts Magazine.
Attendees are invited to participate in complimentary individual and collaborative reuse activities facilitated by Education Coordinator, Beth Reitmeyer: “Art by The Four Corners will inspire us as we create mixed media collaged candle holders; the sky’s the the limit as we use jars, paint, fabric, wire, paper, and art slide transparencies to light up our world.” As always, drinks and snacks will be provided.
