Are you looking for holiday gifts that are affordable? Ethically sourced? Handmade by local artists? Support a good cause? Look no further!
This Saturday December 9th, local reuse artists are coming together to donate a variety of art for our 4th Annual Sustainable Impact Benefit Show, with 100% of proceeds going to TGCR’s educational outreach programs in our underserved partner schools.
Sustainable Impact features a wide range of artists including: Marla Thalheimer, Leah Sawyer, Dee Kimbrell, Kayla Burnett, Graci Phillips, Alexandria Hadd, Kelly Tipler, Beth Reitmeyer, Leah Sherry, Justin Sherry, Ryan Bukowski, and participants of Turnip Green’s after-school KidsCAN programs. These artists, and many more, will lend a creative hand to bring you one-of-kind gifts, perfect for the Holiday season, that support a good cause.
We invite you to join us at the opening in our Green Gallery on December 9th from 7-10pm. This free event is open to the public and will include reuse art, food and drinks, and a workshop in our open studio.
Not only will you be able to purchase unique holiday gifts, you can join our education coordinator, Beth Reitmeyer, who will teach you how to beautifully package them by creating your own giftboxes out of used holiday cards, and tags out of colorful architectural samples.
Don’t forget to stop by and visit our friends and neighbors at Platetone Printmaking for their end of the year silent auction and open studio activity as well!
If you are unable to attend on Saturday, you are invited to view the show until January 10th during our hours of operation or by appointment.
Merry Reusemas everyone!
